Eye Health and Tips

What is presbyopia (age-related farsightedness)?

It is the progressive loss of the lens's ability to focus with age (approximately 40+), which makes it difficult to focus on near objects. Reading glasses compensate for this need with magnifying lenses.

Should I wear glasses even if I think I "see well enough"?

Straining your eyes can cause eye fatigue, headaches, and redness. Wearing the correct prescription glasses improves comfort and performance.

Does wearing glasses worsen presbyopia?

No. It's a natural age-related process, independent of wearing glasses; glasses only improve focus and well-being.

When should you use reading glasses?

Reading glasses become necessary as soon as presbyopia appears, which is usually around age 40. However, the first symptoms of presbyopia can appear at a younger age.

Presbyopia makes it difficult to see up close, especially when reading small print or working with small objects, such as designing miniature models. Reading glasses with magnifying lenses can correct this problem and make your daily life more comfortable by improving your near vision.

How do I clean my glasses?

Use lukewarm water and neutral soap, rinse, and dry with a microfiber cloth. Avoid alcohol, ammonia, abrasive wipes, and leaving your glasses in the sun.
